Travis Mercredi is a Metis sound designer, musician, digital artist and producer from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. He has worked across mediums such as film, television, radio, theatre, installation art, 360 video, games and virtual reality. His work has appeared in various venues such as the National Art Centre, National Film Board of Canada, ImagineNative, APTN, Toronto Biennial, Talking Stick Theatre Festival, Cannes International Film Festival and others. Through the process of completing a degree in Computation Arts at Concordia University his practice has shifted focus to virtual reality and exploring its expressiveness and implications in the indigenous context.
