Panelist, Panel 3 – Using VR to Teach Language and Traditional Knowledge
Ali Abel was raised in Tadehcho (Wool Bay), Northwest Territories by her late Grandparents and aunty. Ali lived off the land until she went to residential school at age 6. Ali works with the Yellowknife Dene First Nation Dechı̨ta Nàowo Program as the Research Coordinator, coordinating, and delivering youth research skills development activities using Indigenous research approaches by integrating Dene culture and Williideh language into the programs.
