  • Location: Online
  • Date: May 27th, 2020
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Instructors: Maize Longboat, Eve Whiteman-Desjarlais

Overview: The first online Skins workshop ever! Over a live Microsoft Teams video meeting more than ten participants from Mother Teresa Middle School in Regina, SK were guided through designing a character who is a descendant of theirs who lives seven generations in the future. Participants sketched their characters using paper and pencil then shared the creations through their video feeds, providing commentary about the decedent’s identity and future reality. The workshop was led by IIF instructors Maize Longboat and Eve Whiteman-Desjarlais. Eve was trained to instruct 7th Gen Character Design during the MacKenzie Train-the-Trainer workshop and this was the first time she delivered a Skins workshop.
