Vanessa Racine
Lab Coordinator
Vanessa Racine (Anishinaabe, Beaverhouse First Nation) was born in southern Ontario but has resided in Montreal/TiohtiĆ”:ke since 2010. Vanessa is a research assistant and lab coordinator at AbTeC. Currently pursuing an MFA in the Individualized Program, Vanessa’s primary research is centered around Anishinaabe Video Game Development and understanding how Anishinaabe understandings of love can be represented through the medium. Additional research interests include language visibility and revitalization, Anishinaabemowin dialect variation in media/video games and its vital role in language learning.
