  • Location: MacKenzie Art Gallery, Regina, SK
  • Date: August 12th – 16th, 2019
  • Duration: 5 days
  • Instructors: Skawennati, Maize Longboat, Kahentawaks Tiewishaw, Nancy Townsend

Overview: This workshop provided research assistants based in Regina, Saskatchewan working with IIF partner MacKenzie Gallery with formal training on how to deliver Skins curricula. Over one week, the new Trainers completed lessons for both 7th Gen Character Design and Machinima workshops in addition to learning about the administrative requirements of Skins. Trainers produced sketched designs of their imagined seventh generation descendant and created a short machinima adapted from the Nehiyaw story about how heart berries (strawberries) came to be.
